So Shepard Fairey has just released his version of the Iconic Hope Poster featuring a Guy Fawkes mask, for the Occupy Wall Street Movement.
Personally we think it’s too little too late. And Far Prefer Eddie Colla’s campaign, it’s more original and was super timely, and Eddie is actually part of the movement. Who’s do you prefer?

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON
You’ve probably seen this image alot lately, on tees and being re-appropriated by lots of artists. It feels pretty current, but did you know it was made in 1939 by the British Government?
”And a message of such powerful simplicity might not be so forthcoming these days. Today’s government posters attempt to convince the public of an unappreciated danger and get them to modify their behaviour. The “Keep Calm” poster is merel…y an injunction to think another way and continue acting as you have always acted.
“It’s very good, almost zen,” says Dr Prince. “It works as a personal mantra now. If people are thinking ‘I’m about to lose the house’, it’s good advice.”
Portrait of José Hernández - First Latino Astronaut
Ernesto Yerena (Formerly of Obey) has been hard at work setting up photoshoots, creating digital portraits, and fine-art hand made pieces. The work is beautiful and centers around “Hecho Con Ganas or Made With Passion” and tackles issues in Chicano/Mexican-American culture, as well as those who have the “ganas” to stand up against injustice and make this world a better place.
This portrait is of José Hernández, the first ever hispanic american astronaut.
Ernesto has his first solo show ever at the prestigious “White Walls” gallery in San Francisco. 11.13 - 12.4.
